2026 Easter Egg Hunt

April 5, 2026 – On a glorious spring morning, Easter Sunday April 5th, the Kiwanis Club of Lake Stevens carried on a beloved 49-year tradition as hundreds of families gathered at Highland Elementary School for the club’s annual Easter Egg Hunt — free to every child in the community. Children ages 1–11 clutched their baskets and buckets behind the starting rope, bursting with anticipation before the signal sent them scrambling across the field to collect colorful plastic eggs filled with candy and small prizes.

Lucky egg-finders discovered special tokens redeemable for grand prizes including Easter baskets, large stuffed bunnies, and scooters, making for squeals of delight all around. The Easter Bunny himself arrived in style, delivered to the event aboard a Snohomish Regional Fire and Rescue Station 81 fire truck, thrilling kids and parents alike.

The event ran flawlessly thanks to the dedicated volunteers of Boy Scout Troop 41, the Lake Stevens High School Key Club, and Kiwanis Club members, all under the expert coordination of Kiwanis member Kathy Fox. Thanks to all the wonderful volunteers for their efforts, and especially Kathy Fox and her team for making it look so seamless! We’d also like to thank the Easter Bunny of course, the Snohomish Regional Fire & Rescue Station 81 crew, and our fabulous announcer Anthony Morea.

It was a beautiful reminder of what serving the children of Lake Stevens truly looks like — neighbors coming together to give kids a safe, joyful, and memorable celebration at no cost. Events like this one are exactly why kids need Kiwanis.
