Each year in November one of our favorite and most fulfilling projects is collecting food & creating baskets of food for five local families in need. In conjunction with the Lake Stevens Boys & Girls club, we collect food at the Lake Stevens Haggens store over two days. The collected food is organized and transported to the Boys & Girls Club, where a group of Kiwanis and Key Club volunteers assemble the baskets of food. The five families (chosen by the Boys & Girls Club) then pick up their baskets and are able to have a bountiful Thanksgiving meal. Thanks to Kathy & Alan Fox for organizing the project, and of course thanks to all the other Kiwanians and Key Club members for their generous donation of their time. And a special thanks to the Boys & Girls Club for their help as well.
The Lake Stevens Kiwanis had a great crew at the city’s HarvestFest yesterday, handing out smiles and treats! Thanks to Kathy Fox for leading the effort!
October 17, 2025 – Big smiles and busy hands! Lake Stevens Kiwanis members joined the crew at Ebenezer Lutheran Church yesterday to help prepare and serve the weekly free community dinner. Great food, great teamwork, and lots of heart—thanks to everyone who came out to make a difference!
October 5, 2025 – Our annual Installation meeting where the newly elected club directors and officers are installed. New President Darwin Smith presided over the meeting at the home of Alan & Kathy Fox. Great food and conversation! Many thanks to the outgoing officers, particularly Herb Singleton who devoted much energy as Treasurer as well as managing the last several Beer Garden events!
September 27, 2025 – One way our club is giving back to the community – In cooperation with the City, we clean litter and debris four times a year along Grade Road. On a beautiful Saturday morning we met across from the fire station and cleaned the shoulders of Grade Road from Hartford Drive to Highway 92. Many thanks to the City of Lake Stevens Parks and Recreation Department for providing the equipment necessary. And lest we forget, thanks to our volunteers pictured above, from left to right: Tosha Edwards, Jackie Fox, Billy Fox, Kathy Fox, Nicole. Perez, Sarah Jennings, Mike Radovich, Gary Jennings, Darwin Smith, Sarah Tallman & Natalie Tallman.
Following our cleanup of Grade Road, we met at one of our favorite places, Fuente De Cafe for a sumptuous breakfast and good conversation.

The kids were awarded with lots of candy as well as prizes such as scooters and easter baskets of goodies, hope to see you all next year!
